Jan 4, 2007 Bite the BulletWell...I did it, I cast on another project. It only took me 3 days. Hopefully my other resolutions last longer. Of course, DH's work has screwed me up. Not that this surprises anyone who's ever been milirary or a military spouse. The put him on night crew! Do you believe it?! UGH! I thought we were done with that. This is going to mess up my sleeping habits as I will no doubt want to wait up for him. I already spent most of last night sitting up trying to work out a stitch pattern for the foot. The ones I found were alright, but not exactly what I wanted. However, he is the NCOIC (non commissioned officer in charge, I think), which looks good on his fitrep (no clue, something report?). If we're lucky it'll lead to a promotion before too long. More money would be nice.
Anyways, this is a KAL with the shop. And it had to be started in January. Besides, now that Project Spectrum is up I'm putting off my mom's top until June/July as it fits in nicely with the color group. I, like most people, am going to organize my stash/projects around this project. Good thing it goes until September! February/March is blue, white and grey. Which is just awesome. Of course, I'm going to go organize my stash and all after I get off the computer. My own KAL, the Year of the Alpaca has officially started. It's open ended, join whenever you like, knit what you like. Just use Alpaca. I'll be starting my raglan first, since it goes best with the color group for Feb/March. I'm so excited to be a part of ProjSpec!
Oh, I also got that knitting pattern a day calendar-y thing from a friend of mine. It's cool, I swear everyone has one. Though there are only a couple projects I can see on there I really want to do. Several I've already seen online. My favorite? The one I'm ITCHING to get to? The Gansey sock! Oh, and yes, I did look through the whole thing. I'm impatient.Labels: knitting, life, project spectrum, socks, yarn 11:42
